This is what we read browsing on specialized websites, Leonardo Pavoletti. Born in Livorno, he brought up by Sassuolo which sent him to gain experience around Italy. From people close to him, we knew that Pavoletti maybe changed idea. The striker continues to find Genoa an optimal situation, but it seems attracted by Napoli possibility. Perhaps he feared the inevitable comparison with Higuain. But considering the excellent reception accorded to Milik, but especially the excellent performances offered by Napoli without the Argentinian, Pavoletti seems to have decided to do this important choise. He does not dribble and does not overcome the opponent, but he helps his teammates, and is decisive in offensive zone. Questo è ciò che si legge navigando sui siti specializzati, di Leonardo Pavoletti. Nato a Livorno, cresciuto calcisticamente con il Sassuolo che lo manda a farsi le ossa in giro per l’Italia. Ma, la squadra emiliana non crede sino in fondo nel calciatore. Così, nell’estate 2015 lo cede al Genoa a titolo definitivo per 3 milioni. Lunga gavetta la sua, gavetta che termina proprio a Genoa. La stagione passata infatti, vede la consacrazione a calciatore vero, di Pavoletti. Segna in campionato 14 goals, che in una squadra di metà classifica rappresentano un ottimo bottino. Ottime prestazioni le sue, che attirano le attenzioni di squadre importanti. Tra esse il Napoli.
Già nell’ultima sessione di calciomercato estivo, Giuntoli prova a portarlo al Napoli. Oramai orfano di Higuain, acquistato Milik, il club azzurro pensa a lui per completare il reparto offensivo. Ma Pavoletti é un uomo di altri tempi. La gratitudine verso il Genoa, la voglia di crescere ancora in un un ambiente che non gli chiede troppo, o perché no, il timore di confrontarsi con un top club come il Napoli, lo porta a rinunciare ad un contratto da circa 2,5 milioni di euro. E l’affare sfuma.
Ma allora, perché a distanza di pochi mesi, il calciatore cambierebbe idea?
Da ambienti a lui vicini, sappiamo che Pavoletti starebbe cambiando idea. L’attaccante continua a trovare Genoa una situazione ottimale, ma sembra solleticato dalla possibilità Napoli. Forse temeva l’inevitabile confronto con Higuain. Vista però l’ottima accoglienza riservata a Milik, ma soprattutto le ottime prestazioni offerte dal Napoli anche senza l’argentino, Pavoletti sembra si sia deciso a fare il grande passo. Lui non dribbla e non punta l’avversario, ma gioca di sponda, ed in attacco é tanta roba.
