Giampaolo e Gino Pozzo
Everybody knows that the Pozzo family was among the few pretenders
to the Napoli‘s presidency several years ago. After the failure, the team started again from the Serie C, and De Laurentiis became its leader. Udinese in Serie A, and Watford in the Premier League in 2012, are the Pozzo‘s economic interests in football. We also remember Granada‘s team in the Spanish Liga, bought and sold in 6 years.
Well, bad news for Pozzo’s english team, and of the ex Mazzarri, Zuniga and Britos. So good at football level, they are accused for having presented fake bank documents at the time of the final transition of the club from the Giampaolo Pozzo‘s hands, the father, to those of Gino Pozzo, the son, in 2014.
This is their comment: “There are ongoing investigations. It does not seem therefore appropriate to talk about it before their end“.
Remind you that in 1990 Giampaolo Pozzo was banned for five years when it was already Udinese’s president because of a suspect phone call with Calleri, former Lazio’s president. And in 1998, father and son have been investigated for tax fraud, false accounting and embezzlement. The trial ended with a plea bargain in 2004.
